How Does Nissan ProPILOT Work?
The Nissan ProPILOT Features ?
Nissan ProPILOT Assist will transform your driving experience by giving you more confidence, enjoyment and less stress driving in stop and go traffic situation or on the highway. You can activate or deactivate this feature at the push of a single button. When you’re in heavy traffic, the system will bring you to a stop and get you back up to speed when the vehicles in front of you start moving. Your Nissan vehicle is equipped with a front-facing camera located behind the rear-view mirror that monitors the traffic ahead of you and detects when vehicles are stopping. If the system detects that your vehicle needs to stop, it will provide visual and audible alerts. And if you do not respond, the system will apply the brakes to slow down and turn on the hazard lights, if necessary, and come to a complete stop. It only takes a few simple steps to activate the Nissan ProPILOT Assist in your vehicle.
Activating Nissan ProPILOT Assist
-Press the ProPILOT Assist ON button (the blue button on the right-side of the steering wheel)
-Set your speed and distance by pressing the SET – button on the steering wheel
-Relax and enjoy the ride
More Nissan ProPILOT Assist Features
Nissan vehicles equipped with Nissan ProPILOT Assist are also capable of helping you stay in the correct lane if your vehicle starts drifting. When the system detects you drifting from your lane, the lane icons on your dashboard will turn from grey to green to alert you. And if you do not respond, the Steering Assist system will automatically correct your steering by providing small steering inputs and bring you back to the centre of your lane. However, the system will only correct your steering when your turning signals are not on. The Nissan ProPILOT Assist system is a combination of steering, accelerator and braking assist features to make your driving experience less stressful
