The driving experience is becoming less stressful year after year thanks to many advanced driving technologies! When you own a Nissan vehicle, these remote features are available through the NissanConnectSM web portal or Mobile App. Follow us at Ericksen Nissan, your trusted Nissan Edmonton dealership to learn more about these remote features and how they work.
Remote Lock or Unlock
Through the NissanConnectSM Web Portal or the Mobile App, you can lock or unlock your vehicle from anywhere. When you unlock your vehicle, the doors will automatically relock after 60 seconds for your security. If you forgot to lock your vehicle doors, there is no need to go back because you can lock the doors from your mobile phone. To use these features, you need a PIN that can be found in your NissanConnectSM account. Once your command has been successfully carried out, you will receive an email or text notification to let you know if the remote command was successful or whether it failed.
Remote Engine Start
During the Edmonton winters, especially those weeks when it’s -25°C or colder, the remote engine start feature practically becomes a necessity!
